MORTGAGE ADVISORYBuying your home or an investment property and repaying the associated mortgage is a common financial goal for many of us and thus becomes an important part of your review service with your Adviser, including being able to check in that your current interest rates remain competitive as well as your progress with repaying your loan. Life Strategies established an association with One10 in 2007 to provide mortgage broking services to our clients. Since this time our clients have benefited from having two professionals; their Adviser and Mortgage Broker, working together to ensure that the loan structure suited their needs and remained competitive. From 1 July 2010 credit assistance (which includes suggesting) that you apply for a particular credit contract with a particular lender, apply for an increase or even to recommend you remain in a credit contract or lease) requires your Adviser to be a Credit Representative of an Australian Credit Licence (ACL) which they are not. The credit assistance services are provided by the Lender or Mortgage Broker and Life Strategies’ role is limited to strategic advice related to the structure of your debt as well as being your advocate and sounding board. The Lending with One10 brochure provides some background information on the services they offer Life Strategies clients and the lending process. Up until 31st December 2019 both your Adviser and Mortgage broker shared the commissions paid by the lender, but in the interest of transparency of fees, Life Strategies now incorporates the costs of your Adviser’s time in providing this service within your service agreement and refunds directly to you our share of commissions as outlined in your specific proposal from One10. You have no obligation to use the services of One10 if you have a relationship directly with a Lender or another Mortgage Broker you should choose the relationship that works for you. |
